Municipal Development Organization “SYNERGASIA ANAPTYXIAKI S.A.” was established on December 15, 2021, as a Special Purpose Société Anonyme (S.A.), with the primary aim of promoting local development, providing technical support to first and second-level local authorities (OTAs), enhancing cultural and tourism assets, fostering digital convergence, protecting public health, and improving social services.
As a Private Law Legal Entity, the company operates under the provisions of Article 2 of Law 4674/2020 (“Strategic Development Perspective of Local Government Organizations, Regulation of Issues under the Ministry of Interior, and Other Provisions”). It is also governed by the provisions for S.A. companies under Law 4548/2018 (“Reform of the Law on Société Anonyme Companies, New Law on Société Anonyme Companies”), as well as any other mandatory legal provisions applicable from time to time, along with the articles of association of the company.
The company’s shareholders include the Municipalities of Alexandroupolis, Soufli, and Samothraki.
The territorial jurisdiction of the company covers the geographical areas of the shareholder municipalities, as well as the broader region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. Additionally, the company is authorized to enter into programmatic agreements with all first-level and second-level OTAs and central government entities. In exceptional cases, the General Assembly may decide to expand the company’s territorial scope, provided that such an expansion benefits the company itself.
