The company is governed by the Board of Directors, which consists of nine (9) members, who may be shareholders or not. The board members are always eligible for re-election and can be freely dismissed. The members of the Board of Directors are elected by the General Assembly for a term that does not exceed the tenure of the Municipal Authorities.
Except for the President, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company and the executive members of the Board of Directors, as defined in the company’s statutes, cannot be elected representatives of the municipal or regional councils of the shareholder Local Authorities (OTA). The Municipality of Alexandroupolis appoints seven (7) members of the Board, the Municipality of Soufli appoints one (1) member, and the Municipality of Samothraki appoints one (1) member.
